The Challenge

As an internationally syndicated radio show with a cult following that was beginning to fade, the mission was clear: how could we help the show stay current and make the most of its 20+ year history in public media?

A Breakthrough

I worked directly with AfroPop’s lead digital producer to establish protocol and standards for utilizing data more intelligently, tuning up their audience engagement strategy, and establishing better connections to relevant writers and journalists at other organizations.

As a result, AfroPop established a better relationship with its most avid fans, which helped to secure renewal for the organization’s key grants and funding for the year.
