Created “The Stream”, the first show to broadcast breaking news live on social media. Launched on the day Osama Bin Laden was killed, with the first and only interview from an actual eyewitness. Turned the show into a must-watch source during the Arab Spring.

Al Jazeera’s show became one of most decorated online news programs: nominated for the 2011 Emmy Award for Breaking News and winner of the Webby People’s Choice Award and Royal Television Society’s Most Innovative Programme in 2012. In 2013, “The Stream” won the Online Media Awards “Best Twitter Feed Commendation” and “Outstanding Digital Team Commendation” along with the The Gracie Award for Outstanding News Talk Show.
